Zaha Hadid epitomises the British Creative Exchange aims and as such is the 2008 Season’s Principal Patron. Described as ‘The First Great Female Architect’ by the Economist, Zaha has fashioned a new identity for UK architecture and creativity and its place in developing global creativity, young talent and the UK search for a new role to link creativity to that very public past time of commerce.

On the Board of Channel 4, Nathalie Schwarz joined Channel 4 in 2005 and is the New Business and Corporate Development Director and the 2008 British Creative Exchange Season Patron and presents a public media event with Philip O’Ferrell – Vice President of Digital Media for MTV. Both will engage in a proactive debate with audiences to explore how music broadcasting has developed in the UK and what media approaches, will determine and impact our viewing and listen needs during the 21st Century.

Cesar Charlone (2007 Patron)

In 2007 the British Creative Exchange witnessed the world’s leading Cinematography & Director of Photography, Cesar Charlone [City of God & The Constant Gardener] in the UK to open the inaugural British Creative Exchange Season of events. In arriving from Brazil to deliver the 2007 opening address, the innovative Cesar Charlone outlined, “In looking at how the UK embraces international talent and creative understanding, it was an honour to be both invited and to open this major and progressive event”.
